But that's not why he ended up in the bootloop. The reason is that he has deleted important files.

You can put the iPhone in recovery mode. Turn off the iPhone, connect to the computer via USB while holding down the home button. Then you come into recovery mode and then UPDATE to iOS 10.2.1 with iTunes. DO NOT restore. Then your data stays on the iPhone.

well i lost my only chance to jailbreak but at least i entered recovery mode and now i can update and dont lose data, so anyway thanks for your help i guess

I've noticed it too, it starts happening after a while for every exported binary under /jb
A reboot and re-jailbreaking solves it, for a while.

To get the right entitlements you can simply copy them from an existing binutils binary and sign your own binary. If it is a FAT archive you need to extract the rigth architecture first.

E.g.
Code: Select all
jtool --ent /jb/bin/ls > platform.ent
jtool -e arch -arch arm64 <binary>
jtool --sign --ent platform.ent --inplace <binary>.arch_arm64

Then copy the resulting binary into /jb/usr/local/bin and add that path to your PATH variable if required.

There are zero boot loops and remounts if the JB worked the first time. Give it a minute or so to set up the ssh, then it's stable for as long as you need it. I perform no unnecessary kernel modifications, so it should last indefinitely.

Killed -9 iPhone X 11.1.2

Postby flooppoolf » Tue Dec 26, 2017 9:02 pm

Hello,

This JB works fine! Thank you!
However, every command I run gets killed.
ls/cp/mkdir/etc...
If I go into zsh, instead of a -9 sigkill it just says zsh:killed

I do as the MOTD says and still run into these errors.
Any help would be appreciated.

edit: A lot of the time it is also a bad cpu type error. and the makeMeAtHome.sh script gives me this output;
Code: Select all
root@ (/jb)# ./makeMeAtHome.sh
mv: rename /jb/usr/local/lib/zsh/5.0.8/zsh/* to /usr/local/lib/zsh/5.0.8/zsh/*: No such file or directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/share/terminfo/61 to /usr/share/terminfo/61: Not a directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/share/terminfo/6c to /usr/share/terminfo/6c: Not a directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/share/terminfo/73 to /usr/share/terminfo/73: Not a directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/share/terminfo/76 to /usr/share/terminfo/76: Not a directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/share/terminfo/78 to /usr/share/terminfo/78: Not a directory
mv: rename /jb/usr/local/bin/* to /usr/local/bin/*: No such file or directory
mv: /jb/bin/zsh: No such file or directory
mv: /jb/etc/zshrc: No such file or directory

Can you give me a quick rundown on what I need to sign. I've been trying to get this to work for quite some time, and I'm lost.

Well, I know jack and squat about it, myself, but apparently there is a thing called, "jtool," which is referenced heavily through these forums.
It seems to run on some form of electricity, and is capable of reducing the population of any standing structure to zero.
Wait, wait....those are the Marvel movies I watched earlier.....damnit.....
Anyway; jtool will sign your apps, among other voodoo.
